Protecting cyber assets– A business imperative

As Chief Security Strategist for Box, Kurt Roemer serves as the voice of security across Build, GTM and Enable functions. Partnering with the CISO and Global Security Office, Roemer drives customer security enablement, strategic direction, security roadmap value prioritisation and the continuous evolution of an enviable security culture. An information services and cybersecurity veteran with more than three decades of experience, his credentials include the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation, he served as Commissioner for the US public-sector CLOUD2 initiative and he led efforts to develop the PCI Security Standards Council Virtualisation Guidance Information Supplement for the payment card industry while serving on the Board of Advisors. Previously as Chief Security Strategist for Citrix Systems, Kurt Roemer led the security, compliance, risk and privacy strategies for Citrix products and joined as Chief Security Officer for the Application Networking Group. As a member of the Citrix CTO Office, Roemer drove ideation, innovation and technical direction for products and solutions that advance business productivity while ensuring information governance.
