UCISA’s Digital Education and Digital Capabilities Groups are delighted to open nominations for the inaugural UCISA-DEG-DCG Achievement award. The award recognises an individual working in a UCISA member organisation who has made a significant contribution over the past five years to the support of digital education and/or digital capabilities in one or more of the following areas:
- Promoting and supporting the use of digital education and/or digital capabilities.
- Research into the use and support of digital education and/or digital capabilities.
- Leadership in digital education and/or digital capabilities.
The winner will be invited to attend Spotlight24 in Birmingham on 30 April 2024 Nominees must ensure that they are available on this date and are willing to give a brief presentation about their application.

Judging criteria
- Sustained achievement over a period of five years or more.
- Evidence of impact within institution and/or UCISA community in relation to digital education and/or digital capabilities.
- Contribution to the UCISA community, e.g. through involvement with a group or dissemination of activities via UCISA events.
- Applications should include brief endorsements from colleagues/peers.
Terms and conditions
- Applications are open to all staff in current UCISA member organisations working in or supporting digital education and/or digital capabilities.
- You may self-nominate for the award. If you are nominating someone else, please ensure that they are aware of the nomination.
- The award will be judged by a panel consisting of UCISA representatives, two members of UCISA-DEG and two members of UCISA-DCG.
- Nominees must ensure they are available to attend the Spotlight24 in Birmingham on 30 April 2024 and are willing to give a brief presentation about their application. Attendance at the conference will be funded by UCISA.
- The supporting statement should address the judging criteria provided and must not exceed 2000 words. Additional information may be submitted by email to cpd@ucisa.ac.uk
