About the Event
Chris Sherwood, Quality Assurance and User Experience Lead from Swansea University introduces the topic with his talk: ‘Get in early: UX and Evidence-based procuring’. Chris describes the topic: An appetite for risk-averse procured locked-down platforms appears to be a trend in the HE sector, certainly in my institution. This is a challenge for usability as often we lose control to a third-party and problems cannot be fixed. How do we ensure they offer good UX and meet accessibility guidelines? Getting past the sales talk, understanding user pain points, giving our users great products with platform constraints.
Following Chris’s talk we’ll discuss procurement case studies, and offer insights into user-centred procurement approaches.
