About the Event

What is the equipment data service?

Equipment data harvests and aggregates a range of university and research facility equipment catalogues. The service enables searching across all published UK research equipment databases through one aggregation portal. UKRI terms and conditions of grant funding requires all equipment purchased over £138,000 to be published on the equipment data platform.  The service is planning an upgrade to change data ingest, assign persistent identifiers, and enhance data quality to facilitate new use cases and explore adjacent services. This work aims to improve transparency, provide efficiencies, encourage collaboration, and support sustainability to maximise the research estate.

Learn about the equipment data service, its new use cases, and the planned roadmap for upgrade There will be plenty of time for sharing your thoughts and ideas on the development plans and potential adjacent services.  Join us if you are involved in research infrastructure or asset management, including research managers, research technicians, and IT staff.
