Nobody will visit your website: the rise of zero click behaviour

About the Event
In 2024 almost 60% of Google searches did not result in a click. Social media managers are finding that posts containing links to external sites are not favoured by platform algorithms. And the rise of search capabilities in AI tools means that users are increasingly seeking the answers to their questions in platforms like chatGPT instead of taking the time to individually visit (your) sites seeking the answers for themselves.
There's a trend at play that suggests a new future for your website: a world in which nobody actually wants to visit your website to get the answers that they seek.
So, as content professionals and marketers, what can we do about this?
In this session, Tracy Playle - founder of ContentEd and author of The Connected Campus - will talk about the trend towards zero click behaviour, the impact of declining visits to our websites, and how we can better prepare our content so that it still wins in a zero click world by becoming a usable, identifiable and authoritative source for search engines and AI assistants.
