Bursary PlusOne

UCISA is pleased to announce the Bursary-funded PlusOne scheme for SSG26: Beyond Support: Driving Strategic Value Through Service is now live.

In response to the growing challenges of talent management and tightening budgets across institutions, UCISA is supporting its members by enabling delegates registered for the full SSG26 Conference programme to bring an institutional colleague at no additional cost.

A previous recipient of the PlusOne scheme has said:

"What really makes SSG special, and why I look forward to it, as often as I can get, is the incredible camaraderie, the sense of community, with people genuinely interested in sharing information and experiences. As someone who has attended several times over the last 18 years, it’s both comforting and inspiring to see familiar faces, catch up with old friends, and recognise that despite the changes and challenges, we’re all navigating the same IT support waters. To be honest, I always get by with a little help from my friends at SSG events."

Please read the following information to nominate a colleague for a bursary-funded place at the SSG26 Conference:

  • To be eligible, the referee must have already booked an early bird place to attend the full conference programme. Referees may only nominate 1 individual.
  • UCISA welcomes nominees from underrepresented groups, please include any relevant information in the nomination.
  • The nominee should be notified that they will be referred.
  • The nominee must also agree to share their findings from SSG26 with colleagues at their institution, as well as disseminate their experience in a format of their choice that may be published on the UCISA website and/or social media channels.

Nominations must be received by the deadline of Friday 8th May 2026. Nominations can be made using this form.

Successful nominees will also be contacted after the closing date by the UCISA Events Team regarding booking their place at the conference.
