PlusOne Bursary Scheme

UCISA is pleased to announce the continuation of its Bursary-funded PlusOne scheme for WiT26: From North to South – Building Connections, Breaking Barriers.

In response to the growing challenges of talent management and tightening budgets across institutions, UCISA is supporting its members by enabling delegates registered for the full WiT26 Conference programme to bring an institutional colleague at no additional cost.

A previous recipient of the PlusOne scheme has said:

‘It was a valuable opportunity to step away from my daily routine and immerse myself in an environment filled with innovation, inspiration, and empowerment. This event brought together a diverse group of women who have made remarkable contributions to the Higher Education sector. Moreover, it also provided the chance to meet many interesting and passionate individuals.’

Please read the following information to nominate a colleague for a bursary-funded place at the WiT26 Conference.:

  • To be eligible, the referee must have already booked an early bird place to attend the full conference programme. Referees may only nominate 1 individual.
  • UCISA welcomes nominees from underrepresented groups, please include any relevant information in the nomination.
  • The nominee should be notified that they will be referred.
  • The nominee must also agree to share their findings from WiT26 with colleagues at their institution, as well as disseminate their experience in a format of their choice that may be published on the UCISA website and/or social media channels.

Nominations must be received by the deadline of Friday 10th April 2026. Nominations can be made using this form.

Successful nominees will also be contacted after the closing date by the UCISA Events team regarding booking their place at the conference.
