Increased licensing costs for home use during the pandemic – ucisa liaison with key suppliers
Some suppliers across the sector have extended home use provision until the end of May and/or are offering reduced cost for access via home licences. Many institutions are now looking toward June and to the next academic year, if students do not return to campus.
So that ucisa can continue to assist the membership at this time please could you indicate where other home licences that are required (for teaching, research or other enterprise use) may become an issue your institution if restrictions relating to the pandemic continue? Please indicate whether the challenge is a technical one or relates to cost, along with any other details that may be helpful. This will help ucisa form a sector picture in order to approach the relevant ucisa corporate member and other companies accordingly. Please email policy@ucisa.ac.uk
