18 March 2026 - Would you like to become a UCISA Trustee?
Would you like to become more involved in UCISA?
TThe 2026 Annual General Meeting of UCISA will take place at 12:00 on Thursday 11 June 2026 via MS Teams. The formal notice and agenda will be sent nearer the time.
In readiness for the AGM, we are seeking nominations to join the UCISA Board of Trustees and would like you to consider either standing or putting forward a colleague for election. There will be two elected trustee positions available. All those who stand for election will be considered for co-option to the board if they are not elected.
At the AGM, Sarah Bevon finishes her term as Treasurer and, after 6 years of service on the board, is stepping down. I am sure you will join me in thanking Sarah for all she has done, and we look forward to seeing her at future events. Mark Johnston’s term of office as an elected Trustee comes to an end at the AGM and, happily, he has indicated he will stand for election as Treasurer. Matthew Flower also comes to the end of his two-year term and has indicated that he will stand for re-election.
Please note that nominations close at 1200 on Thursday 23rd April 2026.
If you are interested in joining the Board of Trustees, please feel free to contact our Chair, James Crooks, any member of the UCISA Board or Deborah Green, and they will be happy to discuss what is involved. Interested parties may also find the Charity Commission guidance The essential trustee useful.
Nominees must have a senior sponsor from within their institution. Nominees must also have a proposer and seconder, both of whom must be nominated UCISA representatives of Full Member Institutions of UCISA. If you are unsure if someone you would like to approach to nominate or second you are a nominated representative for your/their institution, then please email admin@ucisa.ac.uk and we will be pleased to advise.
Nominees are asked to complete the nomination form and skills audit, both of which then need to be returned to Deborah Green CEO by 12 noon on Thursday 23rd April 2026 ideally by email to ceo@ucisa.ac.uk.
Although the formal calling notice will not be available until after the nomination period has closed, we have opened the AGM event for bookings so that you can be sure to save the date in your calendar and ensure your institution is represented there.
