About the Event

It’s become increasingly common to hear the phrase Enterprise Architecture (EA) in Higher Education in recent years. More and more institutions are starting to use EA tools and techniques, but there’s also scepticism. Understandably, a cynical HE professional might wonder…

What is EA? Isn’t it just diagrams?

How do you do it in a university? Surely, we’re too complex for this type of approach?

What’s the point of this? We just don’t have time for a new project!

This webinar will explore EA as a cultural change and continuous approach, rather than as a big project that’s conducted as a one-off event. Led by Dave Hooper and Stan Neal (Waterstons), the session will explore how EA can be tailored to the needs of any type of organisation. Based on their experiences working with different universities there will be a particular focus on how EA techniques might be best approached in the unique context of Higher Education.

The webinar will also provide insight from the perspectives of Casey Barron and Daniel Wilson (University of Sunderland). They will be discussing why they’re trying to develop their institution’s EA maturity and what opportunities (and challenges) this presents.
