About the Event

From the success of previous sessions, we’re thrilled to launch our latest entry into the UCISA Support Services Group Open Mic Series – a collection of interactive webinars aimed at creating open discussions and a space for collaboration on the topics that you care about. From ‘Clearing’ to ‘Ways of working’ and beyond, each session aims to tackle a unique aspect of Support Services with your questions and ‘taking the mic’ fully encouraged!

Upcoming Session: Building a One Stop Shop Support Desk

Our upcoming session focuses on Building a One Stop Shop Support Desk, and the direction it takes and what is discussed all comes down to you!

What questions do you have?

  • Trying to find out what common challenges others may be facing trying to implement a 'One Stop Shop' support desk, and what innovative solutions have been successful so far?
  • Want to know from others if they are integrating Library, IT, and Student Services into a single support desk and if it can reduce confusion and improve accessibility for users?
  • Curious about if anyone has best practices for naming and branding to create a cohesive and user-friendly support service cracked?
  • Interested to see if and how the use of technology, including AI and chatbots, could be enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of support services at your peers institutions?
  • Simply want to know more about others' experiences in this area? Want to build connections with others in the community?

Then join us for this session to ask questions, share knowledge, best practices, and build connections as a community with the discussion driven by the community!

Please be advised that, to facilitate open and candid discussions, this open mic session will not be recorded.

To assist us in structuring the session effectively, kindly complete our brief survey and submit any questions you wish to address before the session using this form
