Many institutions are looking at how to open up their campuses and safe measures to do so. Some are considering how temperature checks could be incorporated.
The Information Commissioner’s Office has published guidance on collecting health information related to Covid-19. (This forms part of the information available on the ICO’s data protection and coronavirus information hub.) The ICO suggest that one way for organisations to demonstrate accountability when collecting data to test for Covid-19 or for symptoms is through a data protection impact assessment (DPIA).
