UK universities have continued to face challenging times and these look set to continue against a very uncertain backdrop. The education industry is facing the perfect storm: funding pressures, socioeconomic uncertainty, a change of Government, and a long overdue need to address technical debt.
However, they are not facing these challenges in isolation. Despite the geographical distance between the UK and Australia, we share more common ground than we might think. TechnologyOne's innovative Global Mobility Program (GMP) takes inspiration from academic study tours, aiming to foster collaborative learning and exchange among higher education institutions worldwide. In its third iteration, the GMP embraces the essence of what makes the Education community truly unique, the ability for it to come together in the face of challenging times and truly collaborate and share insight for the greater good, its hard to imagine another sector, anywhere, where this happens and it deserves to be celebrated. The immersive, one-of-a-kind program saw 7 institutions travel to meet with and tour 4 AU hosts and gave participants a chance to see how their Australian counterparts are creating key digital and institutional change programs to attract, engage and retain students.
This session will celebrate this unique essence with our panel of representatives, both hosts and participants of the programme will explore the key findings, and reflect on how this has shaped impactful initiatives thus far and will continue to way into the future.
