Via knowledge exchange and sharing, we support continuous improvement of expertise among the UK university and college community underpinning teaching, learning and research transformation through better use of digital technology and information systems.

The role

We are looking for an Events and Admin Assistant able to support a wide variety of workflows for our internal work duties, our membership and events. You will work closely with colleagues in a small, friendly and busy team, and you must be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritise your own workload and be willing to learn new things. There will be a requirement for travel for our UK events and conferences.

The role is full-time, Oxford Based, hybrid and mainly working from home. There will be a requirement to attend our office site, Lumen House, Harwell, Didcot, Oxford, at least 2-4 times per month, and you will need to travel to UK venues for our in person events and conferences.

Key role duties

As UCISA’s Events and Admin Assistant you will work across all of our areas of administrative activities, including all membership activities and events, with the focus of the role adapting to the needs of our business activities across the year. You will also assist the Head of Corporate Engagement and Events with diary management.

The salary for this role is £18,000 - £20,000 per year.

Summary of Terms and Conditions

Contract: Permanent full time, hybrid, mainly home-based working

Hours per week: 37.5, Monday-Friday with some flexibility to support on-line and face-to-face events

Salary: £18,000-£20,000 per year (dependent on candidate experience and skill set)

Leave: 30 days annual leave & 8 Bank Holidays

Pension: Defined Contribution scheme (6.7% employer contribution, voluntary employee contribution 0-6.7%)
